Chinese Knots as a Year Custom Culture ——Interpret its symbolized contents
[Abstract] The primitive name of Chinese knots is Laozi, which has been a popular handcraft in China thousands years ago. In 1980s, Ms Xiasheng Chen in Taiwan rediscovered the Laozi and renamed it as Chinese Knots, from which on the art of Chinese knots spread along with the communication between Taiwan and the mainland, having become a Chinese year custom subsequently. The cultural content of Chinese knots is contained in its new name, emotional functions and forms.
